A graphite drawing illustrating the Le Mans winning Mazda 787B. The drawing was enhanced through scanning and withdigital dynamic color plashes. The Mazda 787B was the first victory by a Japanese marque at the 24 hours of Le Mans. (Toyota would go on to win the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans) It is the only victory by a car not using a reciprocating engine design utilizing a rotary-powered engine. It is the last Wankel rotary-powered racing cars to compete in the World and Japanese championships, using Mazda's R26B engine.
